Roberta was so welcoming from the moment we walked into her beautiful home! Together we made three delicious dishes, paired with wine and an incredible aperitivo. Roberta was very hands-on in her teaching and involved us in every step of the process, while giving us the confidence to take part in making each recipe.

Every dish was absolutely fantastic, but Roberta’s warmth and company made the experience even more special. We learned so much, laughed, ate incredible food and truly felt welcome in her home. This cooking class was without a doubt one of the highlights of our two-week trip to Italy. This was our first cooking class experience and it was absolutely fantastic! Roberta was so warm and welcoming and the food was definitely a 10/10. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in Bologna!

Our family took a class with Roberta, who was super friendly with us. She created a welcoming atmosphere and taught us how to make ravioli, tiramisù and more. She is very knowledgeable and was very patient. She offered us some typical Bolognese antipasti, broadening our palates. For dinner we ate the two kinds of pasta we had learned to make, with a wine my sixteen-year-old loved, and for dessert we had the tiramisù we had made.

Everything was made from scratch. We definitely recommend this experience, and Roberta was a lovely host.

If you’re still deciding whether to book this experience, do it. Our whole family of five agrees it was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Italy.

Roberta is a wonderful person. She welcomed us into her beautiful home as if we were family. Her second-floor kitchen was a real dream and the perfect place to spend a few hours learning to make fresh pasta.

The whole experience was relaxed and fun, and we never felt rushed. We laughed, cooked, shared stories, enjoyed incredible homemade pasta and left with memories we will never forget. Honestly, by the end it felt like saying goodbye to family rather than to someone we had just met.

What a fantastic experience! This class far exceeded my expectations. Roberta was absolutely EXCELLENT. So welcoming, warm, patient, thoughtful and simply a lot of fun. We had SO much fun. And she made pasta-making so easy to understand. Roberta did far more than what was listed in the program. On top of the 3 pastas and the tiramisù we made, Roberta had made her own artisan gelato that morning and shared it with us, including a delicious homemade black cherry topping. I must admit we had high expectations for the evening cooking class. We were looking forward to making pasta and ragù, Bolognese style. The evening exceeded our expectations. As soon as we walked in and were warmly welcomed by Roberta and saw her lovely home and her very well-equipped kitchen, we knew a fantastic experience awaited us. Roberta was very engaging and we talked about Italian heritage and my wife’s cooking skills as we started working on the ragù for our dinner. Roberta explained step by step what we were doing, and as soon as the first piece of pancetta started sizzling in the pan, the aromas were amazing. As we were about to start making our pasta, Roberta invited us to make our dessert too, our own individual tiramisù, which was a pleasant surprise. Roberta was very patient with us as we kneaded the pasta, and the result was perfect. Soon the ragù was ready and we had made our tiramisù and put it in the fridge. We were ready to eat. Roberta had set a wonderful table and as an antipasto she offered us her own recipe, a delicious mortadella mousse. Then we ate our pasta Bolognese with a local Lambrusco and, to top it all off, the tiramisù. Roberta is a wonderful cook, a great teacher and an exquisite host. We will definitely come back to visit her and learn to cook another dish the next time we are in Bologna.

Roberta’s gelato-making class was the absolute highlight of our trip to Bologna! Roberta is a joyful, kind person with a passion for food and gelato! Her home is stunning and we felt like special guests as well as students. We learned every step of the process and then ate the gelato, which was incredibly delicious! We sat in her bright kitchen eating the best gelato ever, along with sorbets, wine and fresh strawberries, finishing with affogato. Roberta is an expert chef and we would happily take any of her classes. We rate her class as highly as possible!

We learned to make fresh tagliatelle with a spicy sausage sauce, spinach and ricotta ravioli and a delicious tiramisù. Roberta guided us through every step with the ease of a great chef (which she is). And after all the learning (and lively conversation), we sat down to enjoy the meal we had created, and honestly, it tasted like food from a high-end restaurant.

It was a truly delightful experience! Roberta was welcoming and her home is very beautiful. She made everything easy and fun, offering tips and instructions when needed, but always supporting our shy attempts. Everyone in our group (a family of five - two parents and three teenagers) was able to take part and we had a lot of fun. Roberta sat us down in her dining room for an antipasto before cooking our fresh pasta. The whole morning was a success and a great way to fully experience the local culture of Bologna.

To be honest, we couldn’t have expected a more wonderful experience. Roberta made us feel at home. We learned to make tagliatelle, tortellini and a delicious tiramisù. She is really kind and patient, and also flexible with our food preferences. We learned a lot about how things are made, where they come from and the differences between the regions of Italy. You can tell she puts her whole heart into cooking and that it’s not just about the food, but about the passion behind it.

A fantastic experience! We made a special request to make gluten-free gnocchi and Roberta was able to accommodate it without any problem. We were offered a small antipasto when we arrived and opened a bottle of delicious Lambrusco while we cooked. Roberta was very kind and had a wonderful kitchen and home. We felt very comfortable. The gnocchi and homemade sauce were one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. We also made a wonderful panna cotta for dessert and left completely full. I highly recommend this cooking experience, you won’t be disappointed!

We had a great time with Roberta in her beautiful home in Bologna! She made us some antipasti (piadina and bruschetta) to start, which were really tasty. Then we made spinach and ricotta ravioli (we had asked for a vegetarian option, which was no problem at all for her). We also made tiramisù, which was so good that I’ll definitely be making it much more often at home!
I only have two small remarks that kept me from giving a 5-star review: Roberta’s English wasn’t excellent, which was no problem at all for the class, but made casual conversation a little harder. Second, we only made the dough and the filling for the pasta, and the tiramisù. For a class that was supposed to last 3 hours, it was a bit short in my opinion (especially considering the classes aren’t cheap). We barely reached 2.5 hours.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it, I just wish it had been a bit richer for the money we spent.

We had a morning class with Roberta and it was just me and my partner. It was AMAZING! We had already taken a chocolate-making class in Belgium (which we really enjoyed), but the pasta class with Roberta was even better.

Communication beforehand was excellent. Roberta messaged us to confirm her address and ask which pastas we wanted to make.

When we arrived, we were offered a light homemade meal with local products and a choice of local wines. Tip: go on an empty stomach!!

Then we made the tiramisù and, while it chilled in the fridge, we made 2 kinds of pasta, kneading from scratch. We made tortellini and tagliatelle.

Then Roberta made 2 outstanding homemade sauces, one for each kind of pasta, and we ate them both, before enjoying the finished tiramisù.

Roberta was a wonderful host: friendly, informative and she carefully helped us carry out the cooking techniques correctly.

This cooking class is one of the most incredible travel experiences I have ever had, and Roberta made it even more memorable. Roberta has a beautiful apartment and a breathtaking kitchen with all the professional tools needed to create a little Italian culinary magic.

When my teenage daughter and I arrived, she had prepared some delicious nibbles for us, including pappa al pomodoro, which is now our favorite Italian starter. We had a great time making the main meal, which included tortellini (with Parmigiano cream), tortelloni (Bolognese) and one of the best tiramisù we have ever eaten (and we’ve eaten a lot!). The end result was simply delicious and was served at the table with a refreshing Pignoletto. Roberta even offered us some gelato she had made earlier, which was simply divine.

Roby welcomed us very warmly and had already prepared some treats for us. We made pasta and sauce, and tiramisù, taking our requests into account (for example in the choice of sauce and making the pasta without a machine). She answered all our questions. Then we ate together at a beautifully set table, with excellent wine. A wonderful morning!
